Maria partnered with acclaimed Israeli artist Nir Hod for an imaginative ten-handbag collection. Handmade in New York, the handbags combine extraordinary leather craftsmanship with the most advanced leather printing technology, where the reproduction of colors and textures is as faithful as possible to the original canvases from which they derived.
About Nir Hod
About Nir Hod: Nir was born in Tel aviv, Israel and currently lives and works in New York City. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Jerusalem’s Bezalel Academy and continued his artistic training at New York’s Cooper Union School of Art. Since the beginning of his career, Nir Hod has opposed the ideology that labels sumptuousness an aesthetic sin. A versatile and prolific artist, Hod has worked with different media including video, sculpture and painting. He has had solo shows at Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York, Jack Sheinman Gallery in New York, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Tel Aviv, the Miami-Dade Community College, Wolfson Galleries in Miami and Michael Fuchs Galerie in Berlin among many others. Hod and his work have been featured in the New York Times, Interview Magazine, W Magazine, Elle Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, “T” Magazine, New York Observer, Financial Times and more.
